8       mbexamine - examine a cyrus-format mailbox

SYNOPSIS

11       mbexamine [ -C config-file ] [ -u uid ] mailbox...
12       mbexamine [ -C config-file ] [ -s seqnum ] mailbox...
13       mbexamine [ -C config-file ] -q mailbox...

DESCRIPTION

16       Mbexamine  will  examine  the header, index, and cache files of a cyrus
17       format mailbox and dump the information contained therein.  It can also
18       limit  its  output to a specific uid or sequence number, through use of
19       the -s and -u switches.  Mbexamine reads its configuration options  out
20       of  the  imapd.conf(5)  file unless specified otherwise by -C.  It uses
21       the mboxlist database to locate the mailbox on disk.

OPTIONS

24       -C config-file
25              Read configuration options from config-file.

27       -s     Dump information for the given sequence number only.

29       -u     Dump information for the given uid only.

31       -q     Compare the quota usage in cyrus.index  to  the  actual  message
32              file  sizes  and  report  any differences.  If there are differ‐
33              ences, the mailbox SHOULD be reconstructed.
