DESCRIPTION

12       GNOME  multi-protocol  chat  and  call client Instant messaging program
13       supporting text, voice, video,  file  transfers  and  inter-application
14       communication  over  many  different  protocols,  including:  AIM, MSN,
15       Google Talk (Jabber/XMPP), Facebook, Yahoo!, Salut,  Gadu-Gadu,  Group‐
16       wise, ICQ and QQ.

18       The  main  user interface consists of a contact list window and an icon
19       in the notification area.

OPTIONS

22       -n, --no-connect
23              Don't connect on startup

26              Don't display the contact list or any other dialogs on startup

ENVIRONMENT

32       EMPATHY_LOGFILE=filename
33              If set, debug output will go to the given file  rather  than  to
