DESCRIPTION

21       If gid is equal to the real group ID or the saved set-group-ID,  or  if
22       the  process has appropriate privileges, setegid() shall set the effec‐
23       tive group ID of the calling process to gid; the real group  ID,  saved
24       set-group-ID, and any supplementary group IDs shall remain unchanged.

26       The setegid() function shall not affect the supplementary group list in
27       any way.

RETURN VALUE

30       Upon successful completion, 0 shall be returned; otherwise, -1 shall be
31       returned and errno set to indicate the error.
