NAME

12 vfscanf, vscanf, vsscanf - format input of a stdarg argument list
13

SYNOPSIS

15       #include <stdarg.h>
16       #include <stdio.h>
17
18 int vfscanf(FILE *restrict stream, const char *restrict format,
19              va_list arg);
20       int vscanf(const char *restrict format, va_list arg);
21 int vsscanf(const char *restrict s, const char *restrict format,
22              va_list arg);
23
24

DESCRIPTION

26 The vscanf(), vfscanf(), and vsscanf() functions shall be equivalent to
27 the scanf(), fscanf(), and sscanf() functions, respectively, except
28 that instead of being called with a variable number of arguments, they
29 are called with an argument list as defined in the <stdarg.h> header.
30 These functions shall not invoke the va_end macro. As these functions
31 invoke the va_arg macro, the value of ap after the return is unspeciā€
32       fied.
33

RETURN VALUE

35       Refer to fscanf().
36

ERRORS

38       Refer to fscanf().

EXAMPLES

43       None.
44

APPLICATION USAGE

46 Applications using these functions should call va_end( ap) afterwards
47       to clean up.
48

RATIONALE
