6       cupsd - cups scheduler

9       cupsd [ -c config-file ] [ -f ] [ -F ] [ -h ] [ -l ] [ -t ]

DESCRIPTION

12       cupsd  is the scheduler for CUPS. It implements a printing system based
13       upon the Internet Printing Protocol, version 2.1.  If  no  options  are
14       specified  on  the  command-line  then  the  default configuration file
15       /etc/cups/cupsd.conf will be used.

OPTIONS

18       -c config-file
19            Uses the named configuration file.

21       -f
22            Run cupsd in the foreground; the default is to run  in  the  back‐
23            ground as a "daemon".

25       -F
26            Run  cupsd  in the foreground but detach the process from the con‐
27            trolling terminal and current directory. This is useful  for  run‐
28            ning cupsd from init(8).

30       -h
31            Shows the program usage.

33       -l
34            This option is passed to cupsd when it is run from launchd(8).

37            Test the configuration file for syntax errors.

COMPATIBILITY

40       cupsd implements all of the required IPP/2.1 attributes and operations.
41       It also implements several CUPS-specific administration operations.
