4     nologin — politely refuse a login

SYNOPSIS

7     nologin

DESCRIPTION

10     nologin displays a message that an account is not available and exits
11     non-zero.  It is intended as a replacement shell field for accounts that
12     have been disabled.

14     If the file /etc/nologin.txt exists, nologin displays its contents to the
15     user instead of the default message.
