NAME

6 wd_identify - a simplified software watchdog daemon
7

SYNOPSIS

9 wd_identify [-c filename|--config-file filename]
10

DESCRIPTION

12 This utility opens /dev/watchdog and gets the identification string
13 from the watchdog which then is printed. The device is closed after‐
14 wards.
15
16 The wd_identify tool can only be used without causing a reboot if your
17 kernel is compiled with the CONFIG_WATCHDOG_NOWAYOUT option enabled.
18
19 Watchdog and/or wd_keepalive may have to be stopped to make sure that
20 wd_identify can access the watchdog device.
21

OPTIONS
