NAME

6       ppdmerge - merge ppd files (deprecated)

SYNOPSIS

9       ppdmerge [ -o output-ppd-file ] ppd-file ppd-file [ ...  ppd-file ]

DESCRIPTION

12       ppdmerge merges two or more PPD files into a single, multi-language PPD
13       file.  This program is deprecated and  will  be  removed  in  a  future
14       release of CUPS.

OPTIONS

17       ppdmerge supports the following options:

19       -o output-ppd-file
20              Specifies  the PPD file to create.  If not specified, the merged
21              PPD file is written to the standard output.  If the output  file
22              already exists, it is silently overwritten.

NOTES

25       ppdmerge  does  not check whether the merged PPD files are for the same
26       device.  Merging of different  device  PPDs  will  yield  unpredictable
27       results.
