PROLOG

6 This manual page is part of the POSIX Programmer's Manual. The Linux
7 implementation of this interface may differ (consult the corresponding
8 Linux manual page for details of Linux behavior), or the interface may
9 not be implemented on Linux.

NAME

13 pthread_getcpuclockid — access a thread CPU-time clock (ADVANCED REAL‐
14 TIME THREADS)
15

SYNOPSIS

17 #include <pthread.h>
18 #include <time.h>
19
20       int pthread_getcpuclockid(pthread_t thread_id, clockid_t *clock_id);
21

DESCRIPTION

23 The pthread_getcpuclockid() function shall return in clock_id the clock
24 ID of the CPU-time clock of the thread specified by thread_id, if the
25 thread specified by thread_id exists.
26

RETURN VALUE

28       Upon  successful completion, pthread_getcpuclockid() shall return zero;
29 otherwise, an error number shall be returned to indicate the error.
30

ERRORS

32 No errors are defined.
33
34 The following sections are informative.
35

EXAMPLES

37 None.
38

APPLICATION USAGE

40 The pthread_getcpuclockid() function is part of the Thread CPU-Time
41 Clocks option and need not be provided on all implementations.
42

RATIONALE

44 If an implementation detects use of a thread ID after the end of its
45 lifetime, it is recommended that the function should fail and report an
46 [ESRCH] error.
47

FUTURE DIRECTIONS

49 None.
