SYNOPSIS

7     honeyd [-v] [-t seconds] [socket]

DESCRIPTION

10     Honeydctl is used to connect to Honeyd's management console.

12     The options are as follows:

14     -v          Tells honeydctl to output all conversations.

16     -t seconds  Specifies the timeout in seconds when connection to Honeyd.

18     Using honeydctl, it is possible to dynamically configure Honeyd.  All
19     commands that can be specified in a regular Honeyd configuration file,
20     may also be specified on the console.  The tool understand the following
21     additional commands:

23     list [template]  Outputs a list of all configured templates.  If a tem‐
24                      plate is specified as argument, specific information
25                      about the template is returned.  The command also
26                      matches templates based on wild cards similar to file
27                      system globbing.

FILES

30     /var/run/honeyd.pid   The default socket that honeydctl connects to.
