NAME

4 acl_free — release memory allocated to an ACL data object
5

LIBRARY

7 Linux Access Control Lists library (libacl, -lacl).
8

SYNOPSIS

10 #include <sys/types.h>
11 #include <sys/acl.h>
12
13 int
14     acl_free(void *obj_p);
15

DESCRIPTION

17 The acl_free() function frees any releasable memory currently allocated
18 by to the ACL data object identified by obj_p. The argument obj_p may
19 identify an ACL, an ACL entry qualifier, or a pointer to a string allo‐
20 cated by the acl_to_text() function.
21

RETURN VALUE

23 The acl_free() function returns the value 0 if successful; otherwise the
24 value -1 is returned and the global variable errno is set to indicate the
25 error.
26

ERRORS

28 If any of the following conditions occur, the acl_free() function returns
29 the value -1 and and sets errno to the corresponding value:
30
31 [EINVAL] The value of the argument obj_p is invalid.
