NAME

6       pawserv - CERNLIB program for serving PAW histograms remotely

DESCRIPTION

9       pawserv  is the server for distributed PAW.  It listens for connections
10       on port 345.  pawserv is not in general run from the command line,  but
11       only  via  inetd(8).  From the PAW client side, a remote PAW session is
12       invoked with the RLOGIN hostname command.   Distributed  PAW  is  docu‐
13       mented  fully  in chapter 8 of the PAW user's guide, available in Post‐
14       Script format at this URL:

18       Please note that pawserv receives unencrypted passwords over  the  net‐
19       work.  It should therefore be used only within a trusted LAN.
