NAME

6       remove-ds-admin.pl - Remove all Directory Servers and Admin Server

SYNOPSIS

9       remove-ds-admin.pl [-f] [-d -d ... -d] [-y] [-a]

DESCRIPTION

12       Shuts  down  and  removes  all Directory Server instances and the Admin
13       Server from the system.  The directory  server  instance  configuration
14       directories will have a .removed extension appended to them, which will
15       contain the retained certificate database files.

17       WARNING: This command is extremely destructive!  It will remove all  of
18       the  data and configuration of all directory servers and admin servers,
19       with no chance of recovery.  Therefore, in order to actually  do  this,
20       you  must  give the -y option.  Please use caution and backup your data
21       if you want to keep it!

OPTIONS

24       A summary of options is included below:

26       -f     Force removal - continue on error - otherwise, the command  will
27              abort at the first error encountered

29       -d     Enable debugging - adding more -d will make output more verbose

31       -y     Do  the  actual  processing.  Since the command is very destruc‐
32              tive, you must provide the -y argument in order for  the  opera‐
33              tion  to  proceed.   Use  with extreme caution!  Note, the secu‐
34              rity/certificate files are preserved for future setups.

36       -a     Remove all the security/certificate  files  (used  with  the  -y
37              option).   This  ensures  a  complete  clean  up of the previous
38              installation.
