DESCRIPTION

21       If uid is equal to the real user ID or the saved set-user-ID, or if the
22       process  has  appropriate privileges, seteuid() shall set the effective
23       user ID of the calling process to uid; the real user ID and saved  set-
24       user-ID shall remain unchanged.

26       The seteuid() function shall not affect the supplementary group list in
27       any way.

RETURN VALUE

30       Upon successful completion, 0 shall be returned; otherwise, −1 shall be
31       returned and errno set to indicate the error.

34       The seteuid() function shall fail if:

36       EINVAL The value of the uid argument is invalid and is not supported by

39       EPERM  The process does not have appropriate privileges  and  uid  does
