NAME

6 era_restore - restore era metadata file to device or file.
7

SYNOPSIS

9       era_restore [options] -i {xml file} -o {device|file}
10

DESCRIPTION

12 era_restore restores era metadata created by the respective device-map‐
13 per target dumped into an XML formatted (see era_dump(8)) file, which
14 optionally can be preprocessed before the restore to another device or
15 file. If restored to a metadata device, the metadata can be processed
16       by the device-mapper target.
17
18 This tool cannot be run on live metadata.
