4     ruptime — show host status of local machines

SYNOPSIS

7     ruptime [-alrtu] [-n=length]

DESCRIPTION

10     Ruptime gives a status line like uptime for each machine on the local
11     network; these are formed from packets broadcast by each host on the net‐
12     work once a minute.

14     Machines for which no status report has been received for 11 minutes are
15     shown as being down.

19     -a      Users idle an hour or more are not counted unless the -a flag is
20             given.

22     -l      Sort by load average.

24     -r      Reverses the sort order.

26     -t      Sort by uptime.

28     -u      Sort by number of users.

31             Specify hostname length in output.

33     The default listing is sorted by host name.
