NAME

6       pbs_resources_aix4 - pbs Resources on IBM AIX 4

DESCRIPTION

9       This  page  summarizes  the  resources supported by PBS for IBM systems
10       running AIX version 4.  These  resources  are  specified  for  jobs  by
11       including  them in the -l option argument on the qsub or qalter command
12       or in the PBS job script.

RESOURCES

15       cput      Maximum amount of CPU time used by all processes in the  job.
16                 Units: time.

18       file      The  largest  size  of any single file that may be created by
19                 the job.  Units: size.

21       mem       Maximum amount of physical memory (workingset)  used  by  the
22                 job.  Units: size.

24       vmem      Maximum  amount of virtual memory used by all concurrent pro‐
25                 cesses in the job.  Units: size.

27       nice      The nice value under which the job is to be run.  Units: uni‐
28                 tary.

30       pcput     Maximum  amount of CPU time used by any single process in the
31                 job.  Units: time.

33       pmem      Maximum amount of physical memory (workingset)  used  by  any

42       arch      Specifies   the  administrator  defined  system  architecture
43                 requried.  This defaults to whatever the PBS_MACH  string  is
44                 set to in "local.mk".  Units: string.

46       host      Name  of  host  on which job should be run.  This resource is
47                 provided for use  by  the  site's  scheduling  policy.    The
48                 allowable  values  and effect on job placement is site depen‐
49                 dent.  Units: string.

51       nodes     Number and/or type of nodes to be reserved for exclusive  use
52                 by  the job.  The value is one or more node_specs joined with
53                 the '+' character, "node_spec[+node_spec...].  Each node_spec
54                 is  an  number  of nodes required of the type declared in the
55                 node_spec and a name or one or more properity or  properities
56                 desired  for  the  nodes.   The  number,  the  name, and each
57                 properity in the node_spec are separated by a colon ':'.   If
58                 no number is specified, one (1) is assumed.  Units: string.

60                 The name of a node is its hostname.  The properities of nodes
