DESCRIPTION

12       ibus-fep is an IBus client for text terminals.

OPTIONS

15       -h, --help
16              Show summary of options.

18       -s, --preedit-style=STYLE
19              Specify input style ("root" or "over-the-spot").  The default is
20              "over-the-spot" which shows preedit text at the cursor position.
21              If  you  don't  like it because it can overwrite the screen, use
22              "root" which places preedit text  at  the  bottom  line  of  the
23              screen.

EXAMPLE

26       $ pgrep -lf ibus-daemon
27              make sure that ibus-daemon is running

29       $ unset XMODIFIERS
30              disable XIM

32       $ xterm -e ibus-fep
33              run a default shell program under ibus-fep

35       $ xterm -e ibus-fep -- nano
36              run GNU nano instead of shell under ibus-fep
