NAME

6       trace-cmd-agent - Run as an agent on a machine (to be controlled by
7       another machine)

DESCRIPTION

13       The trace-cmd(1) agent listens over a vsocket (for virtual machines) or
14       a TCP port for connections to control the tracing of the machine. The
15       agent will then start tracing on the local machine and pass the data to
16       the controlling connection.

OPTIONS

19       -N client
20           Listen over TCP instead of a vsocket. Must pass in a client host
21           name or IP address to allow connection to. It will only connect to
22           the specified client. Note, any process on that client can control
23           the agent.

25               *This is a very insecure setting. Only use on a trusted network*
26               *Only use if the client machine is totally trusted*

28       -p port
29           This option will specify the port to listen to.

32           This options causes trace-cmd agent to go into a daemon mode and
33           run in the background.

35       -P cid
36           Allow an agent to also act as a proxy server, where it can be run
37           on a host and connect with a guest.  cid is the context ID (see
38           vsock(7)) of the client (e.g., guest VM) it will allow to connect.

40       --verbose[=level]
41           Set the log level. Supported log levels are "none", "critical",
42           "error", "warning", "info", "debug", "all" or their identifiers
43           "0", "1", "2", "3", "4", "5", "6". Setting the log level to
44           specific value enables all logs from that and all previous levels.
45           The level will default to "info" if one is not specified.
