NAME

6 EVP_PKEY_CTX_set1_pbe_pass - generic KDF support functions
7

SYNOPSIS

9 #include <openssl/kdf.h>
10
11 int EVP_PKEY_CTX_set1_pbe_pass(EVP_PKEY_CTX *pctx, unsigned char *pass,
12                                       int passlen);
13

DESCRIPTION

15 These functions are generic support functions for all KDF algorithms.
16
17 EVP_PKEY_CTX_set1_pbe_pass() sets the password to the passlen first
18 bytes from pass.
19

STRING CTRLS

21 There is also support for string based control operations via
22 EVP_PKEY_CTX_ctrl_str(3). The password can be directly specified using
23 the type parameter "pass" or given in hex encoding using the "hexpass"
24 parameter.
25

NOTES

27 All these functions are implemented as macros.
28

RETURN VALUES

30 All these functions return 1 for success and 0 or a negative value for
31 failure. In particular a return value of -2 indicates the operation is
32 not supported by the public key algorithm.
