NAME

6       Perl::Critic::Policy::Miscellanea::ProhibitFormats

DESCRIPTION

9       Formats are one of the oldest features of Perl.  Unfortunately, they
10       suffer from several limitations.  Formats are static and cannot be eas‐
11       ily defined at run time.  Also, formats depend on several obscure
12       global variables.

14       For more modern reporting tools, consider using one of the template
15       frameworks like Template or try the Perl6::Form module.
