NAME

6 nisshowcache - NIS+ utility to print out the contents of the shared
7 cache file
8

SYNOPSIS

10 /usr/lib/nis/nisshowcache [-v]
11
12

DESCRIPTION

14 nisshowcache prints out the contents of the per-machine NIS+ directory
15 cache that is shared by all processes accessing NIS+ on the machine. By
16 default, nisshowcache only prints out the directory names in the cache
17 along with the list of active servers. The shared cache is maintained
18 by nis_cachemgr(1M).
19

OPTIONS

21 -v Verbose mode. Print out the contents of each directory object,
22 including the information on the server name and its universal
23 addresses.

NOTES

51 NIS+ might not be supported in future releases of the Solaris Operating
52 system. Tools to aid the migration from NIS+ to LDAP are available in
53 the current Solaris release. For more information, visit
