6       mesg - permit or deny messages

SYNOPSIS

9       mesg [ n ] [ y ]

DESCRIPTION

12       Mesg with argument n forbids messages via write and talk(1) by revoking
13       non-user write permission on the user's terminal.  Mesg with argument y
14       reinstates  permission.   All by itself, mesg reports the current state
15       without changing it.
