6       term - conventional names for terminals

DESCRIPTION

9       Certain  commands use these terminal names. They are maintained as part
10       of the shell environment (see sh(1),environ(7)).

32       up-to-date and locally correct list.

34       Commands  whose behavior may depend on the terminal either consult TERM
35       in the environment, or accept arguments of the form -Tterm, where  term
36       is one of the names given above.
