NAME

6 csqrt, csqrtf, csqrtl - complex square root
7

SYNOPSIS

9       #include <complex.h>
10
11       double complex csqrt(double complex z);
12       float complex csqrtf(float complex z);
13       long double complex csqrtl(long double complex z);

DESCRIPTION

18 Calculate the square root of a given complex number, with non-negative
19 real part, and with a branch cut along the negative real axis. (That
20 means that csqrt(-1+eps*I) will be close to I while csqrt(-1-eps*I)
21 will be close to -I, if eps is a small positive real number.)
22

VERSIONS

24 These functions first appeared in glibc in version 2.1.
25

CONFORMING TO
