DESCRIPTION

21       The strdup() function shall return a pointer to a new string, which  is
22       a  duplicate  of the string pointed to by s1.  The returned pointer can
23       be passed to free(). A null pointer is returned if the new string  can‐
24       not be created.

RETURN VALUE

27       The  strdup()  function  shall return a pointer to a new string on suc‐
28       cess. Otherwise, it shall return a null pointer and set errno to  indi‐
29       cate the error.
