DESCRIPTION

24       "Net::LDAP::Control::MatchedValues" provides an interface for the
25       creation and manipulation of objects that represent the "MatchedValues
26       Control" as described by RFC 3876.

28       The "MatchedValues Control", which only has a meaning with the "Search"
29       operation, allows the client to specify criteria that restrict the
30       values of attributes returned.  It has no effect on the number of
31       objects found, but only allows one to restrict the values of the
32       attributes returned by the search to those matching the criteria.

CONSTRUCTOR ARGUMENTS

35       In addition to the constructor arguments described in
36       Net::LDAP::Control the following are provided.

38       matchedValues => VALUESRETURNFILTER
39           A filter giving the criteria which attribute values shall be
40           returned.

42           VALUESRETURNFILTER is a sequence of simple filter items of the form
43           "( <ATTRSPEC> <OP> <VALUE> )" surrounded by an additional set of
44           parentheses; e.g.

METHODS

55       As with Net::LDAP::Control each constructor argument described above is
56       also available as a method on the object which will return the current
57       value for the attribute if called without an argument, and set a new
58       value for the attribute if called with an argument.
