DESCRIPTION

20       This function is used to maintain a reference count inside a data block
21       that contains a compiled pattern. Its arguments are:

23         code                      Compiled regular expression
24         adjust                    Adjustment to reference value

26       The yield of the function is the adjusted  reference  value,  which  is
27       constrained to lie between 0 and 65535.
