NAME

7       gnome-globalmenu - Global Menu for GNOME

SYNOPSIS

10       Global Menu  is  the  globally-shared  menu  bar  of  all  applications
11       launched in your desktop session.
12       Global Menu consists two components:
13       - GTK Plugin (libglobalmenu-gnome.so)
14       - gnome-panel applet (GlobalMenu.PanelApplet). The applet also acts  as
15       a window selector.
16       On XFCE, a minimal applet (GlobalMenu.XfcePlugin) is also implemented.

INSTALLATION

19       After  installation,  Add  to  applet "Global Menu Panel Applet" to the
20       panel, and enable the GTK plugin from  the  preference  dialog  of  the
21       applet.

ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES

25       The  behavior of the applet is fully controlled via the preference dia‐
26       log. The GTK plugin is affected by

28       GLOBALMENU_GNOME_ARGS
29       --verbose produce a verbose log.
30       --log-file=<file> write the log into <file>.
31       --disable disable Global Menu.

33       GTK_MENUBAR_NO_MAC
34       This environment variable constains binary names  of  the  applications
35       for whom the GTK plugin module should be disabled.
