DESCRIPTION

15       QElectroTech is an electric diagrams editor. Diagrams (*.qet) and elec‐
16       tric elements (*.elmt) are stored using the XML format.   The  elements
17       that  can  be  used  in diagrams may come from the common collection or
18       from the user's custom collection.  Typically, the common collection is
19       readable  by  all users but it can't be edited by them.  Each user owns
20       its custom collection he can modify as he wants.

OPTIONS

23       --common-elements-dir=DIR
24              Uses DIR as the common collection root directory.  Note  :  this
25              option  is  enabled  only  if  the QET_ALLOW_OVERRIDE_CED_OPTION
26              directive has been specified at compilation time.

28       --config-dir=DIR
29              Uses DIR as the current  user's  configuration  directory.  This
30              directory  hosts  a file named qelectrotech.conf, which contains
31              the application configuration, and  a  subdirectory  named  ele‐
32              ments,  which  contains  the user's elements collection.  Note :
33              this option is enabled only if the  QET_ALLOW_OVERRIDE_CD_OPTION
34              directive has been specified at compilation time.

36       --lang-dir=DIR
37              Looks  for  the  application  translation files in the directory
38              DIR.

40       --help Displays a short description of the available options.

42       -v, --version
43              Displays the application version (e.g.: 0.1).

46              Displays the application license (GNU/GPL).  Note that if one of
47              the  three  last  options  is specified in the command line, the
48              programs stops after having displayed the adequate  information.
49              If  an instance of the application launched by the user is still
50              running, this instance  will  consider  the  command  line,  and
51              notably  the  files  to  open.   However,  options that redefine
52              directories (common collection,  configuration  and  translation
53              files)  will  not be considered.  If a filename ends with .elmt,
54              QElectroTech will try to open it into an element editor.  Other‐
55              wise, it will consider it as diagrams.
