NAME

7

SYNOPSIS

9 teredo-mire
10
11

DESCRIPTON

13 Teredo-Mire is a test back-end for the Teredo IPv6 tunneling protocol.
14 It listens for requests from other Teredo clients or IPv6 nodes
15 (through Teredo relays) and answers to them statelessly. Currently only
16 ICMPv6 Echo Requests ("pings") are handled.

DIAGNOSTICS

29 To contact a teredo-mire responder, a valid Teredo IPv6 address must be
30 determined for it. The server IPv4 address and mapped client IPv4
31 address parts should both represent the IPv4 address of the host run‐
32 ning teredo-mire. The mapped UDP port number must be 3545. The Teredo
33 prefix and Teredo flags are ignored.
34
35

BUGS

37 teredo-mire uses UDP ports 3544 and 3545, and assumes it has a public
38 IPv4 address.
39
40 Neither RFC 2460 nor RFC 4380 are properly implemented.
41
42

SECURITY

44 teredo-mire does not require any priviledge to run.
