DESCRIPTION

15       dpns_delete  logically  deletes  a  DPNS file entry in the name server.
16       The file can be recovered by using  dpns_undelete  as  long  as  a  the
17       reclaim utility has not been run on the corresponding tape volume.

19       path   specifies  the  logical  pathname  relative  to the current DPNS
20              directory or the full DPNS pathname.

RETURN VALUE

23       This routine returns 0 if the operation was successful  or  -1  if  the
24       operation failed. In the latter case, serrno is set appropriately.

ERRORS

27       EPERM        path is a directory.

29       ENOENT       The named file does not exist or is a null pathname.

31       EACCES       Search  permission  is  denied  on a component of the path
32                    prefix or write permission is denied on the parent  direcā€
33                    tory or the parent has the sticky bit S_ISVTX set and

35                      the  effective  user  ID of the requestor does not match
36                      the owner ID of the file and

38                      the effective user ID of the requestor  does  not  match
