NAME

12 memcpy - copy bytes in memory
13

SYNOPSIS

15 #include <string.h>
16
17       void *memcpy(void *restrict s1, const void *restrict s2, size_t n);
18
19

DESCRIPTION

21 The memcpy() function shall copy n bytes from the object pointed to by
22 s2 into the object pointed to by s1. If copying takes place between
23 objects that overlap, the behavior is undefined.
24

RETURN VALUE

26 The memcpy() function shall return s1; no return value is reserved to
27 indicate an error.
28

ERRORS

30 No errors are defined.
31
32 The following sections are informative.
33

EXAMPLES

35 None.
36

APPLICATION USAGE

38 The memcpy() function does not check for the overflow of the receiving
39 memory area.
40

RATIONALE

42 None.
43

FUTURE DIRECTIONS

45 None.
