10       DROP TEXT SEARCH DICTIONARY [ IF EXISTS ] name [ CASCADE | RESTRICT ]

DESCRIPTION

14       DROP  TEXT  SEARCH DICTIONARY drops an existing text search dictionary.
15       To execute this command you must be the owner of the dictionary.

PARAMETERS

18       IF EXISTS
19              Do not throw an error if the text  search  dictionary  does  not
20              exist.  A notice is issued in this case.

22       name   The  name  (optionally  schema-qualified)  of  an  existing text
23              search dictionary.

25       CASCADE
26              Automatically drop objects that depend on the text  search  dic‐
27              tionary.

29       RESTRICT
30              Refuse  to drop the text search dictionary if any objects depend
31              on it.  This is the default.

EXAMPLES

34       Remove the text search dictionary english:

36       DROP TEXT SEARCH DICTIONARY english;

38       This command will not succeed if there are  any  existing  text  search
39       configurations  that  use the dictionary. Add CASCADE to drop such con‐
40       figurations along with the dictionary.

COMPATIBILITY

43       There is no DROP TEXT SEARCH DICTIONARY statement in the SQL standard.
