6       clamav-unofficial-sigs - Download, test, and install third-party ClamAV

DESCRIPTION

13       clamav-unofficial-sigs is a shell script that updates the Sanesecurity,
14       SecuriteInfo,  MalwarePatrol,  OITC, INetMsg and ScamNailer third-party
15       signature databases for ClamAV.

OPTIONS

18       This script follows the standard GNU command line syntax.  A summary of
19       the options is shown below.

21       -b     Add  a bypass signature entry to local.ign in order to temporar‐
22              ily resolve a false-positive issue with a third-party signature.
23              The  script  will  monitor any entries it makes to local.ign and
24              will automatically remove bypass entries if either the  original
25              signature has been modified or removed from the database.

27       -c FILE-NAME
28              Source configuration information from a different file.

30       -d     Decode a hexadecimal encoded string or an individual ClamAV 3rd-
31              party signature for viewing.  This will not decode image  signa‐
32              tures nor the official signatures.

34       -e     Encode  a entire input string in hexadecimal for signature usage
35              in any *.ndb database.

37       -f     Encode a formated input  string  in  hexadecimal  that  contains
38              spacing  field '{}, (), *', without encoding the spacing fields,
39              for signature usage in any '*.ndb' database.

41       -g FILE-NAME
42              Verify the GPG signature for a  specific  SaneSecurity  database
43              file.   Only specify the filename as listed in the configuration
44              file and the script will search for it in the work directory.

46       -h     Print the script help and usage information.

48       -i     Print system and script configuration information.

50       -m     Make a hexadecimal signature database file (*.ndb) from a  clear
51              text  ascii  file.  Provides support for both full and formatted
52              signatures.  Additional information is provided when  using  the
53              flag.

55       -r     Remove  the clamav-unofficial-sigs script and all of its associ‐
56              ated files, databases and work directories from the system.

58       -s FILE-NAME
59              Test the integrity of  a  third-party  signature  database  with
60              clamscan.  Only specify the filename as listed in the configura‐
61              tion file and the script will search for it in the  work  direc‐
62              tory.

64       -t     If  HAM directory scanning is enabled in the script's configura‐
65              tion file, then output the names of any  third-party  signatures
66              that triggered during the HAM directory scan.

68       -v     Print the script version and date information.
