6       mktextfm - create a TFM file for a font

DESCRIPTION

12       This  manual page is not meant to be exhaustive.  The complete documen‐
13       tation for this version of TeX can be found in the info file or  manual
14       Kpathsea: A library for path searching.

16       mktextfm  is used to generate a tfm file from the Metafont source files
17       for font, if possible.  If destdir is given, the generated file will be
18       installed there, otherwise a (rather complicated) heuristic is used.

20       The name of the generated file is printed on standard output.

22       mktextfm  is  typically  called by other programs, rather than from the
23       command line.

OPTIONS

26       mktextfm accepts the following options:

28       --destdir dir
29              A directory name. If the directory is absolute, it is  used  as-
30              is.  Otherwise, it is appended to the root destination directory
31              set in the script.

33       --help Print help message and exit.

36              Print version information and exit.
