DESCRIPTION

18       The value of the expression "ICLOEM(MESSG)" is the actual length of the
19       non-blank portion of the input character variable MESSG.  Thus,
20       "MESSG(1:ICLOEM(MESSG))" is the non-blank part of MESSG.  (It is
21       assumed that the non-blank part of MESSG is left-justified in the
22       character string, with blank fill to the right, as is the case for all
23       NCAR Graphics error messages in calls to SETER.)

25       The argument of ICLOEM is as follows:

28       MESSG       (an input variable or constant of type CHARACTER) - Most
29                   likely an error message returned by a reference to the
30                   function SEMESS.
