NAME

6       extconv  - convert a TeX document in either Big 5+ or GBK encoding into
7       `preprocessed' form.

SYNOPSIS

10       extconv < infile > outfile

DESCRIPTION

13       Big 5+ and GBK encodings use the characters {, }, and \ which have spe‐
14       cial meanings in TeX documents.

16       After  processing  a  LaTeX 2e  document which contains such characters
17       with extconv you need not care about these special characters.

19       This filter is part of the CJK macro package for LaTeX 2e.
