6 sgml.conf - basic configuration file for SGML environment variables

10 This file contains basic variables for SGML environment.

12 Format of this file is straightforward:

14 - Lines are either empty lines, comment lines (starting with
15 hash mark) or variable assignments.

17 - Assigments take form of "variable=value" where whitespace is
18 not allowed. This makes the format Bourne-shell includable.

23 This variable contains root of the location of sgml components.
24 Suggested value for this variable is /usr/share/sgml.

26 SGML_CATALOGS_DIRS
27 This variable contains location of sgml catalog files. Suggested
28 value is /etc/sgml.

30 SGML_EXTRA_BASE_DIRS
31 This variable contains the directory name(s) of the root of the
32 location(s) of optional sgml components that the system adminis‐
33 trator doesn't want to install to primary SGML_BASE_DIR direc‐
34 tory. If multiple directory names are mentioned, they are sepa‐
35 rated by colons.

37 SGML_BIN_DIR
38 This variable contains the directory where executables should be
39 placed. By default /usr/bin.

41 SGML_EXTRA_BIN_DIRS
42 This variable contains the directory name(s) where optional exe‐
43 cutables can be placed. Suggested and default value is
44 /usr/local/bin. If multiple directory names are mentioned, they
45 are separated by colons.

48 A hint to components where to put temporary files. The suggested
49 and default value is /tmp.

52 A command that is to be executed when new components have been
