6 fstobdf - generate BDF font from X font server

14 The fstobdf program reads a font from a font server and prints a BDF
15 file on the standard output that may be used to recreate the font.
16 This is useful in testing servers, debugging font metrics, and repro‐
17 ducing lost BDF files.

20 -server servername
21 This option specifies the server from which the font should be
22 read. servername must be specified in one of the formats
23 defined in the Font Server Names section of X(7). If not
24 specified, the server name in the FONTSERVER environment vari‐
25 able is used.

27 -fn fontname
28 This option specifies the font for which a BDF file should be
29 generated.

32 This option prints the program version and then exits without
33 generating a BDF file.

36 FONTSERVER
37 The default server to use. The server name must be specified
38 in one of the formats defined in the Font Server Names section
39 of X(7).
