NAME

6       MPIPAR - Given the area identifier of one of the areas defined by
7       whatever database was last read by one of the EZMAPB routines MPLNAM,
8       MPLNDM, MPLNDR, and MPLNRI, this function returns the area identifier
9       of that area's containing (parent) area.

DESCRIPTION

20       IAIN        is an input expression of type INTEGER, specifying the area
21                   identifier of a particular area of interest.

C-BINDING DESCRIPTION

24       The C-binding argument description is the same as the FORTRAN argument

USAGE

28       The statement "IPAR=MPIPAR(IAIN)" retrieves in IPAR the area identifier
29       of the parent of the area with area identifier IAIN.  For example, if
30       IMAD is the area identifier of the little island in Lake Superior
31       called "Lake Madeline", then MPIPAR(IMAD) is the area identifier of the
32       area called "Wisconsin".
