NAME

6 rsattach - Start a Rose interface
7

SYNOPSIS

9 rsattach [-i inetaddr] [-v] port
10

DESCRIPTION

12 Rsattach takes many of the parameters for the port from the rsports(5)
13 file. The port argument is the name of a port as given in the
14 rsports(5) file.
15
16 Rsattach tries to find the free Rose device in the system. The device
17 name checked is rose0. If no free Rose device is available an error is
18 generated and the program terminates.
19

OPTIONS

21 -i inetaddr Set the internet address of the interface. This address
22 may either be a dotted decimal address or a host name.
23
24 -v Display the version.
25

SEE ALSO

27 rose(4), rsparms(4), rsports(5), ifconfig(8).
28

BUGS

30 The program can be run many times with the same arguments creating many
31 instances of the same attributes on different devices. Not a good idea.
