6 debian-distro-info - provides information about Debian's distributions

19 print the alias (oldstable, stable, testing, unstable) relative
20 to the distribution codename passed as an argument. Only dis‐
21 tribution codenames composed of lower case ASCII letters are
22 accepted, and if the distribution does not qualify as oldstable,
23 stable, testing, or unstable, then the same codename passed as
24 argument is returned.

27 list all known versions

29 -y[MILESTONE], --days[=MILESTONE]
30 display number of days until specified version reaches the spec‐
31 ified milestone. MILESTONE may be one of created, release, or
32 eol. If no milestone is specified, assume release. For options
33 that return a list, display the normal output followed by white‐
34 space and the number of days until the specified milestone. If
35 milestone cannot be calculated, the string '(unknown)' is dis‐
36 played. Unless one of -c, -f or -r is specified, only the num‐
37 ber of days will be displayed.
