6 podman-save - Save image(s) to an archive

17 podman save saves an image to either docker-archive, oci-archive, oci-
18 dir (directory with oci manifest type), or docker-dir (directory with
19 v2s2 manifest type) on the local machine, default is docker-archive.
20 podman save writes to STDOUT by default and can be redirected to a file
21 using the output flag. The quiet flag suppresses the output when set.
22 podman save will save parent layers of the image(s) and the image(s)
23 can be loaded using podman load. To export the containers, use the
24 podman export. Note: : is a restricted character and cannot be part of
25 the file name.
