6       xlsclients - list client applications running on a display

SYNOPSIS

9       xlsclients [-display displayname] [-a] [-l] [-m maxcmdlen] [-version]

DESCRIPTION

12       Xlsclients is a utility for listing information about the client appli‐
13       cations running on a display.  It may be used to generate scripts  rep‐
14       resenting a snapshot of the user's current session.

OPTIONS

17       -display displayname
18               This option specifies the X server to contact.

20       -a      This  option  indicates  that  clients on all screens should be
21               listed.  By default, only those clients on the  default  screen
22               are listed.

24       -l      List  in  long  format,  giving the window name, icon name, and
25               class hints in addition to the machine name and command  string
26               shown in the default format.

28       -m maxcmdlen
29               This  option  specifies  the  maximum number of characters in a
30               command to print out.  The default is 10000.

32       -version
33               Print the program version and exit.

ENVIRONMENT

36       DISPLAY To get the default host, display number, and screen.
