DESCRIPTION

20       The functionality described on this reference page is aligned with  the
21       ISO C  standard.  Any  conflict between the requirements described here
22       and the ISO C standard is unintentional. This  volume  of  POSIX.1‐2017
23       defers to the ISO C standard.

25       The imaxdiv() function shall compute numer / denom and numer % denom in
26       a single operation.

RETURN VALUE

29       The imaxdiv() function shall return a structure of type imaxdiv_t, com‐
30       prising  both  the quotient and the remainder. The structure shall con‐
31       tain (in either order) the members quot (the  quotient)  and  rem  (the
32       remainder), each of which has type intmax_t.

34       If  either  part  of  the result cannot be represented, the behavior is
35       undefined.
