DESCRIPTION

13       The kea-dhcp6 daemon provides the DHCPv6 server implementation.

ARGUMENTS

16       The arguments are as follows:

18       -v     Displays the version.

20       -V     Displays the extended version.

22       -W     Displays the configuration report.

24       -d     Enables the debug mode with extra verbosity.

26       -c config-file
27              Specifies the configuration file with the configuration for  the
28              DHCPv6  server.  It  may  also contain configuration entries for
29              other Kea services.

31       -t config-file
32              Checks the configuration file and reports the  first  error,  if
33              any.  Note  that  not  all parameters are completely checked; in
34              particular, service and control channel sockets are not  opened,
35              and hook libraries are not loaded.

37       -p server-port-number
38              Specifies  the  server port number (1-65535) on which the server
39              listens. This is useful for testing purposes only.

42              Specifies the client port number (1-65535) to which  the  server
43              responds. This is useful for testing purposes only.

47       covers all aspects of running the Kea software - compilation, installa‐
48       tion,  configuration,  configuration  examples, and much more. Kea also
49       features a Kea Messages Manual, which lists all possible  messages  Kea
50       can print with a brief description for each of them. Both documents are
51       available in various formats (.txt, .html, .pdf) with the Kea distribu‐

62       kea-users (kea-users at lists.isc.org) is intended for Kea users, while

64       prospective contributors, and other  advanced  users.  Both  lists  are
65       available  at https://lists.isc.org. The community provides best-effort
66       support on both of those lists.

HISTORY

72       The b10-dhcp6 daemon was first coded in June 2011 by Tomek Mrugalski.

74       Kea  became  a standalone server and the BIND 10 framework was removed.
75       The DHCPv6 server binary was renamed to kea-dhcp6 in July 2014.
