9       gnome-panel [--replace] [--version] [--display=DISPLAY]

DESCRIPTION

12       The gnome-panel program provides the panels of the the GNOME desktop.

14       The  panels  are  the  areas  on  the desktop that contain, among other
15       items, the applications menu, application launchers,  the  notification
16       area and the window list.

18       Small  applications  called applets can also be embedded in the panels.
19       The applets usually provide quick access to specific features.

OPTIONS

22       --replace
23              Replace an already running panel.

25       --version
26              Print version and exit.

28       --display=DISPLAY
29              Set the X display to use.
