DESCRIPTION

24       This program is part of Netpbm(1).

26       rletopnm  converts  Utah  Raster  Toolkit  RLE image files to PNM image
27       files.  rletopnm handles four types of  RLE  files:  Grayscale  (8  bit
28       data,  no  color map), Pseudocolor (8 bit data with a color map), True‐
29       color (24 bit data with color map), and Directcolor (24  bit  data,  no
30       color  map).   rletopnm generates a PPM file for all these cases except
31       for the Grayscale file, for which rletopnm generates a PGM file.

33       rlefile is the RLE input file.  If it is absent or -, the  input  comes
34       from Standard Input.

OPTIONS

38       In  addition  to  the options common to all programs based on libnetpbm
39       (most notably -quiet, see
40        Common Options ⟨index.html#commonoptions⟩ ), rletopnm  recognizes  the

45       --alphaout=alpha-filename
46              rletopnm   creates  a PGM (portable graymap) file containing the
47              transparency channel values in the input image.   If  the  input
48              image  doesn't  contain an transparency channel, the alpha-file‐
49              name file contains all zero (transparent)  transparency  values.
50              If  you  don't  specify --alphaout, rletopnm does not generate a
51              transparency file, and if the input  image  has  a  transparency
52              channel, rletopnm simply discards it.

54              If  you specify - as the filename, rletopnm writes the transpar‐
55              ency output to Standard Output and discards the image.
