6 irpty - Pseudo tty driver.

9 irpty [options] config_file -- program [args ...]

12 irpty connects to lircd to receive infrared codes and converts them to
13 key strokes. E.g. type irpty ~/.config/lircrc -- workbone to control
14 the CD-player program workbone. Of course you will have to create an
15 appropriate config file for this purpose first. The config string will
16 be passed to the desired application. Note that you can use escape
17 sequences to specify non printable characters. Have a look at the .lir‐
18 crc file format description for details.
